Former Chairman, VP and Player, Cameron Kirk Dies.
It is with deep regret that we have to announce the death of Cameron Kirk, aged 81, after a long battle with Parkinsons.
Cameron will remembered as a staunch supporter of Shire Hall Rugby Club, initially as a player of some guile (some might say cheat, we prefer the words interpretation of the laws!) back in the black and white days of the 1960s and 1970s , Chairman and latterly a member of the Vice Presidents. He was awarded the prestigious Captain’s Cup on two occasions, 1968 and 1973. He was also a founder member of the Shire Hall Snooker Club on Tuesday nights, an event that is still continuing to this day with Keith, Crofty, Jerry and Conrad. The Club wishes to pass on our sincerest condolences to his family.
