It’s that time of year again when we ask for players to partake in our annual game with Stonehamians on Boxing Day. Times are bleak for them as they struggle to field a side but we are keen to have an in-house run around on Boxing Day involving as many Stoneham boys as possible.

Over the years it has turned out to be a bit like the Overs/Unders
game albeit in slightly chillier climes. Quite simply it’s a poor excuse to have a few beers – as if we need one!!

We have recruited a top class referee for this game……… well Mick Green actually but he is spot on for our internal games. If you haven’t played on Boxing Day before, you will be amazed by his unofficial Berks Referee Society outfit and his different spin on yellow cards!! He is particularly harsh on awful play – so expect a lot of punishment!!
