for Shire Hall’s Rugby Club AGM.

Support your club, air your views, vote in a new committee, recieve awards, maybe even be a winner in the 100 Club draw.

Maybe sink a few beers as well and talk about all the tries you scored (or didn’t) last season!!

PRE-SEASON TRAINING STARTS: JUNE 1st

Yes, it’s finally here! Your bodies have had a month to recover from the batterings of last season so now we look forward to a new beginning of season 2010-2011!!

TUESDAY 1st JUNE – 7.30 start

Coach Thomas has decided that for month of June training will take the form of some light work and some fun and games!

More serious stuff will begin in July!

Some come on all you youngsters and maybe the not-so-old to front up back at the club on Tuesdays, starting at 7.30 pm.

An excellent turn out of players, past and present for this annual match. 29 players and yet we have struggled at times this season to raise a full side! Nevermind we look forward to next season when hopefully life will be easier for us!!

After a hard fought contest involving a dozen wannabees, the Kicking Cup this year goes to: LEE BREWER.

A creditable second was former winner Paul Chandler who would have won but for his duff leg! (So he says!)

Man Of The Match: The Whole Team!

A fantastic effort against a team two leagues above. Given our difficult season, the players on the park played with pride and effort and in typical Shire Hall style, never gave up trying to play rugby. At the end of the day we didn’t have a strong enough side but we didn’t disgrace ourselves. And we scored!

Thanks to our supporters who came along to support us, especially to injured players Scott, Brian, Rog and Andy and the VPs – it was much appreciated!

Keith Walker Memorial Match 2010

It’s nearly here!

The game you’ve all been waiting for since last May!

The Keith Walker Memorial Match will be played on Saturday May 1st with a 3pm kick off.(A change from the fixture card due to the fact we’ve reached the Berkshire Plate Final – again!!)

(For those new to the club, this match sees the older fraternity of the club pitch up against the young pretenders (do we have any?)) Age cut off depends on who’s playing!!
